Jing Houser is an R&D Leader in the Engineering and Process Science (E&PS) department of The Dow Chemical Company’s Core Research & Development organization. She received her Ph.D. in chemical engineering from University of Michigan (2015), and her Ph.D. thesis is on characterizing metal/oxygen batteries with multiphase continuum-scale models. Jing joined Dow in 2015 as the Senior Research Specialist in E&PS in Midland, MI, where she has worked on a combination of experimental and modeling projects in support of various Dow businesses. Her main contributions to these projects include life cycle assessment, techno-economic assessment, kinetic model development, process optimization, and analytical capability development. Recently, Jing accepted an R&D Leader role in E&PS, in which she serves as a life cycle assessment practitioner while taking leadership responsibilities in the organization. Jing is the co-author of 8 peer-reviewed journal articles.
