A Session by Monique Bennema (Social Sustainability Consultant, SustainMatters)
About this Session
In this session, we’ll be discussing the Social LCA methodology which is a way to assess the social impacts of products and services throughout their entire supply chain. We'll also review the UN guidelines for S-LCA and the methodological sheets for the subcategories within S-LCA. Additionally, we'll explore how to use a generic database, such as the Social Hotspots DataBase to conduct an S-LCA.
We’ll also talk about the Handbook for Product Social Impact Assessment, which is a framework developed by a group of companies facilitated by PRé Sustainability. This framework can be used to collect primary data and evaluate the positive and negative social impacts of products and services across the entire supply chain.
